Extra Work Orders - Ability to generate an addendum to existing engagement letter

When a client signs up to a new service during the year and shortly after signing their engagement letter, would like the ability to send them an addendum to their engagement letter with just a cover letter and the extra schedule - For small additions it is just not customer focused to send a 30 page documents to be signed again.

Thanks for the suggestion It is useful but far from ideal on 2 fronts:

    1. The client might have signed for 10 different services at 500 per month 2 months ago, they are just adding a monthly directors payroll at 10 per month I dont particularly want them to rethink the 500 theyre already committed to I just want them to see the 10 weve just discussed
    2. I will still have to fiddle with a document once I have downloaded the schedule to make sure it is appropriately addressed and refers to the proposal that they have signed

On this occasion I have done some cutting and pasting and sent an addendum to their LoE through docusign, which is probably a bit more time consuming but avoids point 1 above.

My humble opinion if I may I would prefer GP to spend time/effort improving the core product rather than adding multiple integrations. I dont use the invoicing from GP because:

    * I cant chose the date of the invoice
    * One off fees can should only be invoiced once the work has started / or has been completed
    * I want control of adding / removing items (there are instances where fees are agreed for whenever an event happens, which is irregular)
    * Additional services during the year (Id like an addendum as above)
    * I want bills to recurr every month unless and until they get amended or stopped.
    * GoCardless integration works perfectly fine from Xero.

I also find the LoE / proposals really fiddly unless the scenario is very simplistic. I would like the ability to send a single proposal to Husband and Wife / Partners without having to chose whose name features in the proposal and who is just a signatory. And to name more than one individual as the contact, where the client specifically instructs us that they want X AND Y to be able to give us instruction.

Im a great fan of GP It has changed my practice. But I love the ethos and the facebook group and the principles more than I love the software.

Im so hoping that a few these niggles will be ironed out soon

    Hi Marianne,

In this case.. could you send a proposal only (with no engagement letter) to the client? They could still accept the proposal if you set the template up to choose the 'acceptance only' option. Then, mark it as won manually.

From here you'd be able to generate your service schedule addendum because the service would be in the new proposal and marked as won.

    Danielle,

Thanks for picking this up. I have looked but what you are suggesting only appears to allow me to send an updated schedule for a service already in the original proposal. So I assume in case the T&Cs have changed for that service. Unless Im looking in the wrong place?

What I am looking for is the ability to send a proposal for an additional service that the client did not have before. The client has already signed the general T&Cs and the privacy statement so all we need is something that says This is an addendum to the LOE signed on xx.xx.xxxx for the additional provision of x services a schedule of service for this is attached. with the proposal quoting for the additional price only.

    Thanks!

    Hey Marianne,

If it's the case of an addendum to the engagement letter because of an extra service to an existing client, this already exists within OverSuite.

If you go to the proposal, then click Documents > View OverSuite Documents, you'll see the option to generate a 'service schedule addendum' which you can e-mail to your client instead of issueing a full LOE.

Have you seen this at all?
